Quidbird is built by Neat Little Software Limited — a UK Limited company based in the United Kingdom.We've done the founder thing: incorporated through Companies House, ran the quarterly VAT scramble, paid an accountant to fix what software should have prevented. Quidbird is what we wished we'd had.
What we believe
Bookkeeping is not the job. It's the tax on the job. AI is finally good enough to do the typing for you — but only if a human stays in the loop. That's why every transaction is proposed in the Inbox, never auto-posted.
Accountants are not the enemy. They're who you call when a tax return is non-trivial, when HMRC opens an enquiry, when you sell the company. We make their job faster, not redundant.
How we're built
- Funded by us, not by VCs.No pressure to bolt on features that don't serve UK Ltd founders.
- Data in UK/EU only.Vercel for hosting, Neon Postgres for data, Clerk for auth, TrueLayer for Open Banking. We're ICO-registered.
- Honest about scope.If we don't do something yet, we say so. Our public roadmap lives at /roadmap.
